Sheila has over 25 years of experience in accounting, audit, finance and taxation. Not one to sit still for long, Sheila has grown her career from part-time bookkeeper in high school to leading the Finance Department of $80 million small businesses with stops along the way as a government auditor and college professor. Sheila's unique experience and unrelenting curiosity has allowed her to learn about many businesses and industries and meet many exciting entrepreneurs and industry leaders along the way. Preferring to stay in the small business arena, Sheila has recently enrolled in Virginia Tech to pursue her PhD in Business where her research will focus on Entrepreneurship and Finance, specifically researching issues that affect small businesses with the goal of removing barriers to finance and minimizing new business failure.
Sheila enjoys helping people whether that's helping a small business get a handle on their books, helping high-growth small businesses gain market share and grow into a large business, assisting large businesses redevelop and implement processes, or teaching students in the classroom, helping them grow their futures and guiding them along their career path.
Sheila enjoys getting out in nature as much as possible with her rescue pup and watching her award-wining son play baseball.
